Waste Conversion

Energy recovery from waste is the conversion of non-recyclable waste materials into useable heat, electricity, or fuel through a variety of processes, including combustion, gasification, pyrolization, anaerobic digestion, and landfill gas (LFG) recovery. This process is often called waste-to-energy (WTE).

Energy recovery from waste is part of the non-hazardous waste management hierarchy. Converting non-recyclable waste materials into electricity and heat generates a renewable energy source and reduces carbon emissions by offsetting the need for energy from fossil sources and reduces methane generation from landfills. Masada has the capability and hence is putting plans in place to embark on the various waste conversions.

Waste to Energy

Energy recovery from waste is the conversion of non-recyclable waste materials into useable heat, electricity, or fuel through a variety of processes, including combustion, gasification, pyrolization, anaerobic digestion, and landfill gas (LFG) recovery. This process is often called waste-to-energy (WTE).

Masada will fully embark on this sort of energy production in a few years.

Recycling

At Masada we will embark on process to change (waste) materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from landfilling) by

reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and lower

greenhouse gas emissions as compared to plastic production.

Waste to Fuel

At Masada, we realize that as fossil fuels become scarcer and more expensive, alternative fuels are the future. That is why we are embarking on a Catalytic Depolymerisation Process that converts rubber, plastics, textiles and any used oils into high chalorific oil (diesel, No2 fuel, heating oil) to cover for the ever depleting fossil fuel.

Composting

Compost is organic matter that has been decomposed and recycled as a fertilizer and soil amendment. Compost is a key ingredient in modern organic farming that is why Masada is bent on providing a complete pathogen, parasite and weed seed that produces a stabilized 100% organic fertilizer.
